WordPress Publisher Blog Launches

Automattic, the company founded by WordPress lead developer Matt Mullenweg, has launched the “WordPress Publisher” blog.

We’ll cover features that are often overlooked, we’ll highlight plugins that extend WordPress functionality, and we’ll showcase interesting sites being built with WordPress.

From the description, it sounds like the WordPress Publisher Blog aims to be Automattic’s in-house version of Weblog Tools Collection, currently the leading source for news on WordPress plugins and themes.

Curiously, unless you look at the WordPress Publisher Blog‘s feed, you won’t know that the author of the posts (so far) is Automattic’s Raanan Bar-Cohen.

    Hey Austin —

Thanks for linking to our new blog.

The coverage Weblog Tools Collection provides is great and definitely an amazing resource for the WordPress community.

What we plan to do with this blog is focus on large WordPress installations that are doing lots of custom work and help publishers find the proper resources.

Re: not showing the author of the post — that will be fixed shortly — thanks for the heads-up.
